APPLE A16 BIONIC CHIP:

Apples latest processor is A16 Bionic. Apple use this chip in their flagship phone the IPHONE 14 PRO and IPHONE 14 PRO MAX. But they use the old chip, the A15 Bionic Chip in IPHONE 14. Now the question arises that:

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES IN A16 & A15 BIONIC?

If we start looking at the differences, the main one is that that A16 chip was made on 4nm technology and A15 was made on 5nm technology. We can see this in Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It means that apple has improved in process and moved to 4nm technology.

16 Billion transistors were used in A16 Bionic chip and 15 Billion transistors were used to make the A15 Bionic chip. This means that A16 Bionic chip will perform more task with more efficiency because definitely A16 Chip has more transistors.

And according to the links it was also seen that this chip is better or crossing the Snapdragon 8 Gen plus 1. But the links also tell us that apple has not much modify or improved from the previous A15 Chip. If you do not believe in this I should tell you that Apple A13 has 8.5 Billion transistors with 7nm technology, Apple A14 has 11.8 Billion transistors with 5nm technology and then Apple A15 has 15 billion transistors but with the same 5nm technology.
Both A16 and A15 bionic chips are sharing the same 5 Core GPU. But the main difference is that the graphics are really improved.
Photonic engine was added. It means the sensor will take multiple pictures before your click and will give you a final product by merging all the uncompressible pics directly form the sensor.
By using 4nm technology in the A16 Bionic chip. Apple phone has got more power efficiency and better battery life.
Apple A16 Bionic chip runs on the 6 core CPU. Which has 2 high-performance cores and 4 high-efficiency cores. Apple say that this 2 high-performing core are the fastest mobile CPU.

They also claim that this 2 high-performing core use 20% lower power phone. Than the apple claims that this 4 high-efficiency cores are the most efficient mobile CPU. It uses one-third than the competition. Its quiet strong statement.
A16 Bionic is not much faster than the A15 Bionic. So, it is not wrong to say that A16 Bionic is just A15 Bionic with more emphasis on power efficiency ( 20% & One-Third less power usage then the competitors.
A16 and A15 Bionic chip has almost the same single core. On the other hand A16 and A15 Bionic chip almost the same multi core. That's why Apple is not giving the difference of A16 in numbers with the previous chip. They only highlight the power efficiency details.
A16 and A15 Bionic chip has the same 5 core GPU. But the major difference in this is 50% more memory bandwidth in the A16 Bionic chip. This will give the A16 chip to do greater and better performance.
